If flavors could be conveyed into a brand, it could well be to Sulpasteis, a brand that since 1994 offers a range of handmade food products, just like our grandmothers did. Inspired by this authentic and traditional manufacturing process, our team carried out an extensive rebranding work for this label that sells memories shaped like delicious food.

A brand rich in history

Respecting the visual path that Sulpasteis has adopted so far, the new logo seeks to convey the brand's original principles, reinforcing its legacy after many years working for the food service and hospitality industries. The design of the typical Portuguese tiles, the colors, and the typography used are subtle references to the past, here reinforced with the foundation year of Sulpasteis in mind.

 

Conscious of the past, we brought the visual identity to the future and in various formats. Among the variety of elements, there’s a new product catalog for Sulpasteis, supported by a solid illustration work, but also with rigorous product photography.

Diverse and consistent packaging

Sulpasteis' portfolio is very broad. From the line of savory products, through pastry products to seafood, it was necessary to find different solutions to pack so many flavors. 

Keeping it simple and elegant, we tried to combine the necessary elements – technical information, product descriptions, and so on – in a balanced way, always highlighting the essential: Sulpasteis’ products.

If Sulpasteis has been successful due to its traditional, authentic, and artisanal process, it’s also in the details that we balance all our design work. The right blend of our visual work with the numerous physical elements – 

 

which are also combined with each other through various configurations – looks to achieve a visual consistency that will surely stand the test of time.
