TUB

Transportes Urbanos de Braga, in response to the growing number of episodes of verbal and physical aggression against drivers, decided to say “enough is enough” and promote an awareness campaign to appeal for a safe and harmonious environment for all those who use public transportation, but also for its employees.

There is no place for violence

The campaign's tagline was defined in seconds: “There is no place for violence”.
This non-negotiable premise was the starting point for an absolutely transformative campaign that stirred up the city of Braga. The aim of the message was clear: public transportation should and must be a space of mutual respect.

Positive awareness

We collected anonymous testimonies from TUB employees. They told us their story, shared some of the less good moments that have irremediably marked them. Although moved by emotional words, they wanted to stress that these less positive behaviors do not distance them from their true mission and calling. That will always be the most important thing.

For this reason, the campaign captures some of the more delicate incidents experienced by TUB employees, but also the importance of purpose, focus, “turning things around” and the importance of raising awareness in order to educate and grow as a society. The appeal statements also appear as agents of change, in essence calling for awareness.

Towards a more conscious future

TUB drivers played a leading role in this awareness campaign. They gave their faces, their testimony and their will to change the paradigm. We can see the campaign spread throughout the main streets of Braga, where each stop represents a new “STOP” to violence and each bus a wake-up call.

Every street corner reads “There is no place for violence”. And there really isn't. This campaign ran until December 13, 2024 and helped change the way TUB presents itself forever. It made it clear that violence and a lack of humanity have no space or place.
